Rev. Dr. Robert Coughenour brings a renewed energy to
Woodlawn with sermons that speak to each of us...members and
visitors alike.
He is a native of
Pennsylvania; was ordained to the ministry in the Presbyterian
Church USA in 1960 then served congregations in Pennsylvania and
Michigan.
His gifts, skills and
experiences as a Pastor, as well as his years as a college and
seminary professor of Old Testament and Biblical Archaeology,
provide a knowledge base of interesting parables and real-life
events.
In recent years he has served
Presbyterian congregations in West Central Florida as Worship
Leader. He is our
Pulpit Supply Pastor .
He was a veteran of the U.S.
Army during the Korean War era. His interests now include
mystery novels and music; he’s a sports fan, and enjoys bridge
and golfing.
Rev. Dr. Coughenour (Coke)
and his lovely wife Betty have four adult children and six
grandchildren. The Coughenours live at a retirement community in
St. Petersburg.
